CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard Training in Cambridge, MA

Cambridge runs on labs, hospitals, classrooms and kitchens, and all four have a compliance requirement attached. Wicked Safety Training certifies Cambridge teams in CPR, BLS, first aid, AED use, bloodborne pathogens and lifeguarding as an American Red Cross Premier Licensed Training Provider, an AHA Training Site and an HSI Training Center. Our instructors are working RNs, EMTs, paramedics and credentialed aquatics professionals with over 100 years of combined experience, and we have taught across Massachusetts since 2019.

Courses Available to Cambridge Teams

Take any of these as a public seat, or have us deliver them at your Cambridge address.

  • Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, the standard card for offices, schools and childcare
  • Bloodborne Pathogens, exposure control for lab, clinical and facilities staff
  • Emergency Oxygen Administration, for sites that keep oxygen on hand
  • Healthcare-Provider BLS, Red Cross and AHA, initial and renewal
  • Lifeguarding and aquatics, including Water Safety Instructor and private swim lessons
  • Babysitting, wilderness, camp and instructor-level programs

Individual Seats or Group Training

Book a single seat when one person needs a card. Students, postdocs, teaching fellows, personal trainers and parents register online for a public class and certify on their own schedule.

Departments, labs and companies book privately. Group, corporate and recurring-training discounts apply, and the maths turns in favour of on-site training as soon as you are sending more than a handful of people across the river.

On-Site Training Across Cambridge

We bring the manikins, AED trainers and supplies to your building and teach in a room you already have. That works for biotech and research floors in Kendall Square and East Cambridge, university departments around Harvard Square and MIT, clinics and practices near Mount Auburn, restaurants and retail in Central, Inman and Porter Squares, and schools and childcare centers in North Cambridge and Alewife.

Sessions can be split so a bench, a clinic or a kitchen never goes uncovered, and we schedule around your operating hours rather than ours.

Who This Training Is Designed For

  • Research labs and biotech teams combining first aid with bloodborne pathogens and oxygen administration
  • Universities and schools certifying faculty, coaches, lab managers and after-school staff
  • Clinical and dental practices holding BLS current
  • Restaurants, hotels and retail training designated responders on the floor
  • Childcare centers meeting Massachusetts licensing requirements with real infant and child practice

Certification and Recertification

A certification card only means something if the skills behind it were tested in a room. The Red Cross draws that line clearly between online-only education and in-person or blended certification, and every course we teach falls on the hands-on side of it.

Depending on the course you choose, you'll receive an American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or HSI certification. Your course listing shows which card you'll get before you pay. Online registration and eCard delivery are available for most courses. Because renewal expectations are set by employers and licensing bodies rather than by us, we confirm the exact certification details at registration and tell you what card you are getting before you pay for it.

Cambridge Training Questions

Do you run CPR classes inside Cambridge, or do we travel to you?

Both work. Public seats run from our Woburn classroom, about twenty minutes up Route 2 and I-93. For any group larger than a few people we come to your Cambridge address instead and teach in your own conference room or lab.

Which course suits a research lab rather than an office?

Labs usually want Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED paired with Bloodborne Pathogens, and facilities that keep oxygen on site add Emergency Oxygen Administration. Stacking them into a single on-site block certifies a bench team in one day.

Can graduate students and postdocs book individually?

Yes. Open-enrollment classes are sold by the seat, so a student, postdoc or teaching fellow can certify without waiting for a department to organise a course.

Will an online CPR certificate satisfy a Cambridge employer?

Usually not. The Red Cross separates online-only education from in-person and blended certification, and Massachusetts employers that require a card are asking for the version with hands-on skills testing. Every certification course we teach includes that practice.

How does recertification work if our staff renew at different times?

We build custom annual training plans for organizations that certify the same staff every year, which pulls scattered expiry dates back onto one schedule. We manage the roster and certification records so you hold a completed compliance file rather than a folder of forwarded emails.
