Individual Seats or Group Training

Individuals register online for a public seat, which is how most first-time guards, students, coaches and parents certify. You choose the date and you get a card on your own timeline.

Camps, pools, schools and youth programs book privately instead. Certifying a full staff together beats sending fifteen people to fifteen different classes, and group, corporate and recurring-training discounts apply.

On-Site Training Anywhere in Medford

We travel to you with the manikins, AED trainers and supplies. Aquatic courses run at your own pool or waterfront, which means your guards learn the layout, entries and blind spots they will actually be working, not a stranger's facility.

Land-based courses run in any room you have, from school buildings in West Medford and Medford Square to offices and facilities near Wellington and the Mystic Valley Parkway. Sessions can be split across shifts so a site is never left uncovered.

Who This Training Is Designed For

  • Aquatic facilities certifying and recertifying guard staff before a season opens
  • Camps and youth programs putting counselors through first aid, CPR and wilderness training
  • Schools and athletic departments covering coaches, trainers and front-office staff
  • Students, including Tufts students and teens taking a first guarding job
  • Families and caregivers who want infant and child skills practiced properly

Certification and Recertification

Aquatic and emergency skills are assessed in person because there is no other honest way to assess them. The Red Cross separates online-only education from in-person and blended certification, and every certification course we run includes hands-on practice with an instructor watching.

Depending on the course you choose, you'll receive an American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or HSI certification. Your course listing shows which card you'll get before you pay. Online registration and eCard delivery are available for most courses. Renewal windows are set by your employer or licensing body, so we confirm the exact certification details at registration. Seasonal employers should plan recertification before hiring, not during opening week.

Medford Training Questions

When should a Medford camp or pool book lifeguard training?

Book before hiring season, not after. Facilities that lock in dates early get their whole guard staff certified together in the weeks before opening, which is far easier than chasing individual cards once the season has started.

Do you certify camp counselors as a group?

Yes. Camps commonly stack Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED with Bloodborne Pathogens and Emergency Oxygen in a single on-site block so seasonal staff finish in one day before opening week.

Can Tufts students and Medford residents book single seats?

Yes. Public open-enrollment classes are sold by the seat, which suits students, coaches, personal trainers, sitters and parents who need a card on their own timeline.

Is lifeguard certification available online?

No, and it never should be. Lifeguarding is assessed in the water. The Red Cross keeps online-only education separate from in-person and blended certification, and aquatic certification sits firmly on the hands-on side of that line.

How do we keep a seasonal staff current year after year?

We build custom annual training plans for camps, schools and aquatic facilities that certify the same staff every year, and we manage the roster and certification records so you are handed a completed compliance file.
